Drum Roll......

We are super excited to announce that Britlyn is getting a baby BROTHER!!! Thanks to all those who voted for a boy, we needed it! haha, jk but we are super excited and daddy is grinning from ear to ear! :) Everything looks GREAT and he is quite the little squirmer! He was moving around so much the whole time! (i knew he was) but we are super excited to be able to switch it up and start buying blue stuff now :) It is still kinda weird to think there is a HE growing inside of me instead of it just being "the baby" but I am sure I will get used to it! Now if only we could pick a name! We had, or I had, a girl name all ready to go, but now I will have to really start thinking about boy names! any suggestions! I am more for the original names, not so much a common name! anyway, Its a BOY and we're super excited!!

Casie said...: Yay!!! I knew it was a boy. Now watch I'll have a girl and we'll be opposite. :) My advice for names is find your middle name first (if you're going to have one) and then the first name seems to come easier. I think boy names are way harder than girl names and this strategy makes it easier for me. :) Good luck!; May 7, 2009 at 5:54 PM

Britlyn-isms

* Brit- (gasps) MOM! My Brithday wish DID come true!" ME- "really? what was your wish about?" Brit-" That I can love you Forever mom!"

*We like to drive over the hill and look out over the temple, everytime we do Britlyn sings I love to see the temple. It goes something like this, "I love to see the temple, Im going there someday, to COBWEB with my father, I'll promise to obey. For the temple is a house of god a place of SLEEPING BEAUTY, I'll REPAIR myself while I am young. This is my SECRET duty! :)

* "Hey look at all my piles!" chelsie-" Where did you get those piles?" Brit-" I don't know, I just wanted to play piles!"

*Reads Koy a book- "Phew! (wipes forhead) That was hard work! He's finally asleep!

* "Eveyone come on over to the crap corner!" I asked her what kind of corner? she said " the crap corner mom"

trying to think of where on earth she heard this, I concluded that they may have a Craft corner at preschool :) Lets just hope she doesn't repeat crap corner at school!

* Mom, If you don't let me watch one more movie, I am going to throw you out of the house!

*Britlyn-"Mom i cant find my sippy" me- "yes you can, its in your toy room" Britlyn-" No i cant mom, my eyes aren't strong enough to look"

* "I have parents" me-" Oh ya? who are your parents?" Britlyn-" um katie and alan!"

*"I have magic doors on my car! Jesus is so nice to open them for me all the time!"

* Driving home from Home Depot, Britlyn-" Mom what did you do? It stinks!" Me-"I bought some fertilizer for my plants! I know it stinks, we'll be home soon!" a couple minutes later, Britlyn, with a very disgusted face and voice-" Mom I can really smell that and it stinks! It MUST be a toot!" I don't think I have laughed that hard in a LONG time!!

* "I think this bed is a little confused!" haha ok :)

*We were saying prayers one night and Britlyn asked me why we say prayers, i continued to tell her thats how we talk to Jesus and she said Well I don't want to say prayers, i just want to call him on the phone!! ahhh if only it were that easy :)

*It was about 11:00 in the morning and I turned a movie on for Britlyn, she quickly responded with, "Mom, after this movie are we going to BDE?'' I said, BDE?? Whats BDE?? she said "umm I think its just bed!" I guess she is catching on to me and luke spelling things to each other :) she's 2!!!

*Britlyn and I were having pillow talk one night before bed and I was trying to explain to her all the fun things that were coming up and tried to talk to her about daddy coming home! I told her we would be going to the airport to get daddy in a couple weeks and that he was going to fly home on a big airplane! As I got done telling her all of this, she looked at me, and I could tell her little mind was just thinking away, and after a minute or two she said" when daddy comes home, im gonna stick tape on his airplane" and I said" why are you going to stick tape on his airplane?" and she said, "so he can't leave me again!" Sweetest thing, but it broke my heart!! No one can say that that little girl doesn't understand what is going on. she is VERY aware!!

*Kolten was laying on the bed one morning and spit up a little bit, Britlyn was right next to him and saw it...she frantically said to me " mom!! Brother spit up!" so i went over and cleaned it up and she said"He's a bad boy, he spit up! We better get a new brother!" :)

* Britlyn got her first hair cut and when she got a bath after we cut it, it was time to wash her hair and she said "ugh, I can't wash it out! Ali cut my hair!" she thought her hair cut would wash out :)

*Britlyn has quite taken to this whole nursing thing, she loves to nurse her babies now :) but there is still a little confusion, we were laying in bed one night, and she said, "mom, you don't have to go feed brother, its ok! Grandpa can use his boob and feed him!" ahhhhh i about died of laughter

*Britlyn has been on a "School" kick lately! Her knew saying is, I'm gonna ride a school bus to school, and then after school, I'm gonna ride an airplane to visit the moon :) cute little imagination!

*We walked into the restroom at my last Dr. apt and there was only 2 stalls! As soon as i opened the door the smell was so awful! One stall door was still shut so i knew there was someone in it and I immediately thought to myself, please britlyn don't say anything please don't say anything!! well to my luck, she pulls the funniest face and says "oh my goodness mom! It stinks in here! Did you poop?" I tried to cover her mouth and didn't quite know how to reply cuz I knew the person could hear us! I don't know who it was more embarassing for, the person in there, or me! :)

*Britlyn came running into the bathroom one day while I was doing my hair and she said so excitedly..."Mom!!" I said "What?!" she says a little more calmly, "umm I was just thinking about you!" i said, "Oh ya? What were you thinking about me for!" and she thinks for a second and then says, "umm, You"re a stinker!" as she giggles and runs off!! :) I love that girl!

*Lately my new saying has been...Oh my ribs hurt! or, Oh my back hurts! The other day we were reading books on the couch and one of them fell off and Britlyn says, "Mom can you get that for me! I can't!" I said, "Yes you can..your a big girl!" and she quickly responds with "Mom, I can't! My ribs are hurting me!" I don't even know if she knows what ribs are haha

*Once again, i was complaining that my ribs were hurting one and Britlyn pops up off the floor and says.."Mom I have a good idea!" I asked her what good idea that was and she said, " We can get your popcorns and then you will feel all better!" (How thoughtful) We call getting adjusted, "getting your popcorns all gone" so that it would be fun for her! Apparently it worked :)

*We were in Hobby Lobby, britlyn kept saying to me, "Mom i want to take my shirt off" i would say, "No leave it on, you will be naked if you take it off." She asked me a few times and then all of a sudden I look over and she is COMPLETELY Naked. Her shirt is off, and her pants and underwear are around her ankles! I said" Britlyn what are you doing?" She says" Mom, I don't want these clothes anymore!" and yes, she was completely naked in the store!

*Britlyn and I made mac & cheese for lunch one day, and she was such a big helper! She was so excited to dump in the cheese! So after we made it and we were eating it, she said "Mom! Where is my cheese?" I told her we dumped it in and that's why the noodles are orange now! she turned to me and said "Mom! don't talk to me like that!" i laughed :)

*Britlyn was eating some Beet greens one day for dinner. One had fallen under her bib and she didn't have a shirt on cuz they stain easily, so it landed on her chest! I reached over and pulled it off and she said "what mom?" I said, "nothing, you just had a piece of beet green on you and i pointed to where it was! She looked down and said, "Oh...silly boob!" and laughed! We of course busted out laughing :)

*Britlyn was eating watermelon one day, Uncle Kaydon came up and stole a piece out of her bowl and she said, Kaydon don't eat my Watermelon! (everyone loves the way she says watermelon so they do whatever they can to get her to say it) so he looks at her and takes another one. Britlyn got a look on her face and says, Ugh, don't take my watermelon, so being the teasing uncle he is, he takes another one, she pauses... and gets a look of disgust on her face and says, Kaydon, I'll spank your bum!

*We were eating fish one day and Britlyn says "Kaydon, this fish is delicious!" I bust out laughing and said "where did you learn the word delicious?" Britlyn says as she rolls her eyes at me- "ugh Mom...its just a word!" alrighty then :)

*Britlyn-Mom look, Im building a castle that is so so big like your belly and your boobs! Me-thanks brit :)

*Britlyn came walking in to my bedroom one day with a diaper and some wipes and says, "Mom lay down, i change your bum, you stink!" (By the time i raise her my self esteem will be through the floor :) )

*She is always saying I promise about everything! One day she said..Mom dont do my hair, I promise! haha

*Britlyn-Mom I want a cookie. Me-Ok go get your bag right there on the floor by the door! Britlyn- Mom i can't, Im too little! haha ok she wins :)
