March was an eventful month
We had my 26th Birthday :)
We had my 26th Birthday :)
We went on a little family vacation to see some of our really great friends in Arizona
We also went to Jump Street! The kids LOVED it! THey had so much fun jumping on all the trampolines! Daddy met one of his good friends from High School there. It was fun meeting their twin girls for the first time :)
Kolten Broke his arm at the park while we were in AZ (post to follow) and so we headed home a day early and spent the night in vegas. Such a fun time just having our little family there. We stayed at Circus Circus cuz we thought it would be fun for the kids, and mostly cuz it was a saturday night and NO place had rooms...but the kids loved it and so that makes us happy :)
Like I said, March was very eventful, so sorry for the picture overload...But there is more :)
Koy started walking!!
We had our first broken bone in the family. What a morning that was. We took the kids to the park by our house in Arizona, I thought it would be fun to go to it since we always used to go. Well as the kids got out of the van and were running over to the park, Kolten tripped and fell in the parking lot and started crying. I turned around and saw that he had fallen on his arm and instantly figured something was wrong with it. It didn't look funny, but I just kinda knew. I kept telling Luke I didn't think he was ok, and he kept telling me he is fine. He didn't really cry any differently, and he ran off and started to play. Well, at least he tried to. But he just kept being really whiny and was kind of packing his arm. We decided to go feed the ducks and Luke carried him over to the pond. That's when he turned to me and said, I think something is wrong. He is starting to shake. So we left and dropped Britlyn off at Lincolns house and took him to the E.R. (funny story is that before we left on this trip, I had this strong thought come to my head that I needed to make sure I didn't forget the insurance card. I thought that was a silly thought so I ignored it. Next day, same thought came to me. I almost laughed at myself cuz I thought, why should I be so worried about taking the insurance card, No body better get hurt! lol Finally, right as im packing the car, I see the insurance card and the same thought...Take the insurance card. So I grabbed it and threw it in the diaper bag. Funny thing is, Im pretty sure I rolled my eyes while doing it :)...Now I know it wasn't just me playing games with myself ..True story) anyway, so we take him to the E. R. and we wait forever and they finally come in and X-ray it. by this time he was using it, opening doors, etc but if he bent his wrist and put pressure on his palms he would say OOwww. So we thought maybe he just tweaked it or sprained it. but they came in and said, Nope its broke. So we had to wait again for soooo long for them to splint it. He was such a trooper and a tough little kid. We drugged him up on Ibuprofen and they sent us on our way! We had to wait a week for them to cast it and of course he chose blue! They casted it up his elbow though which I wasn't too happy about and they didn't give us a waterproof cast, which made me really mad. I wasn't super thrilled with the dr that did his cast. Oh well. He managed to get around just fine with his arm bent. But it did take him a couple weeks to figure out how to drink by himself while holding his cup with 2 hands. :) it was tricky
We spent lots of time outside with some beautiful weather! The kids especially loved playing at the park, flying kites, riding the 4-wheeler, riding bikes and scooters, and making smore's in the backyard fire pit!
Campfires in the backyard!!
Grandma, Grandpa and Abbie came to visit! The trip wouldn't be complete without a doggy pile on Grandpa!
We had such a busy busy month, but thats the way we like it!
