4th of July Kid Parade

So my 4th of July post is way out of order...

Every year Delta has a kid parade the day before the 4th of July. Since the 4th of July was on a Monday, they did it the saturday before. The kids were so excited to decorate their bikes for the parade! Britlyn and Kael had a blast and all Kolten wanted to do was wrip it off as soon as I got it on, but we somehow managed to keep it on long enough for the parade!

They get to ride their bikes, or wagons etc down main street and all the parents line the streets and wave. There is always hundreds of kids and they only ride down to the park and then they give them all popsicles once they get there. Well britlyn, being the drama queen she is...couldn't pedal that far, so about half way i had to pull her cuz her legs were tired! lol Its always a fun event for the kids. After that, we went and watched Daddy, Kaydon Kyler and Zach play in the volleyball tournament!

This picture cracks me up. These two rode in the wagon the whole way, and we eventually switched Lily around so they were facing each other. Lily is my niece, and we don't see her a whole lot, so Kolten was a little unsure of her as she was of him. Every once in a while one of their feet would touch the other one, and they would grab it and move it over so it wouldn't be touching them anymore. they did this all the way down main street! It was so funny. Had to be there I guess :) They did eventually warm up to each other at the volleyball tourny though!
