We have been super busy here with 3 kids...I rarely have a spare second to myself except for Kolten's nap time, and usually its only for an hr or so. I have been trying to get this post done for a while now and just found a minute to sit down and finally post it!
3 kids has definately been a change for me. I thought I never had time before to myself, well now its a whole different story! I feel like I am constantly on the go. maybe that's because I am! We had so much help from our families while I was recovering that we didn't really know what having 3 kids was like till about a week ago. Then there was about 4 days of us on our own, and then Luke got surgery on his nose to fix a deviated septum, so he hasn't been able to do anything but lay down for the last 4 days. So I have basically had 4 kids and WOW! I'll leave it at that!
Britlyn is such a big help with Koy and Kolten. She loves her brothers so much! (too much sometimes) She is constantly rubbing his head or putting her cheek on it (see pics below) Kolten is a total monkey see monkey do kinda kid, so he is catching on to that real quick. Poor Koy may not have any hair after too long...anyway, she loves to hold him, wishes she could feed him so bad, wants to change him, dress him and bathe him. She is so good at getting things for me and loves to be the "Best helper" as we call it :) She has always seemed so grown up to me, but now she is like 3 going on 16 and yes the attitude is there too...but we still love her :)
Kolten also loves Koy. He likes to call him Brabra (brother) He loves to get his paci and give it to him. He loves taking it away from him even more though! He loves to hold him. If Nen Nen (britlyn) is holding him then of course he wants to too! He is soooo sweet with him. Loves to kiss him, rub his head and chest, rock him (which usually isn't so gentle). Every morning he will run into my room saying brabra and run to his bed and peek in it. They both love to see him every morning. There have been times though where I feared Koy's safety :) but for the most part Kolten is super sweet with him. We were a little worried about that, but I can already see the brotherly bond forming and I absolutely love it :)
Koy is such a sweet baby! He hardly ever makes a peep! Only when he's hungry or being tortured haha. He is already set in his ways with a few things. He eats about every 3-4 hours. Usually on the 3's. Like 3, 6, 9 etc. He will sleep longer at night though. Thank goodness! He goes to bed about 10 sleeps till 3 and then starts his routine of every 3-4 hours. He loves to be swaddled. He will get a little restless and as soon as you swaddle him he is out like a light! He also will fall asleep SO much faster if you lay him in his bed rather than hold him! Kind of a bitter sweet thing. I love snuggling him but it will be nice that he can fall asleep on his own later :) He loves the big green binkies from the hospital! I am trying to get him to switch but he prefers the green ones! Oh and he isn't a huge fan of bath time :) which is rare for my kids! haha He is super sweet though and we love him so much!
