So for those of you who don't know...We are adding another little boy to the family! It has been kind of an emotional day for a few :) but I must say Britlyn and I are starting to get used to the idea! Sort of...Let me explain. (just wanna write down a few thoughts about the big day)
Britlyn wanted a baby sister SO bad. ( I know she still has a chance) I thought for SURE that it was a girl. Not that I WANTED a girl, I just had a hunch that it was a girl for some reason! A really big hunch. I even had 2 dreams of it being a girl. Maybe it was just because Britlyn wanted one so bad so I talked myself into it being a girl...I don't know, but Me and her thought for SURE it was a girl! BOY were we wrong.
When we got into the ultrasound room, the first thing we saw were little boy parts. No he was not a BIT shy, and the utrasound tech said its a boy! I said, Oh its a brother!! and immediately, tears, " I wanted a sister" ok so now I am about to be in tears, not over the fact that it was a boy, but over the fact that she was so heartbroken. Well through the whole ultrasound I was in shock. I couldn't even focus really. haha I just kept thinking, is she sure? I even asked luke, what if its just the umbilical cord. He told me to quit looking at the pictures cuz it wasn't going to change the fact that its a boy!
Through this whole pregnancy I have had small doubts here and there as to wether I am ready for a 3rd baby. It was such a surprise for us, a good surprise, but I have to be honest and say I have been nervous about this one. It kinda caught us off guard! We love our kids and will take em whenever they are supposed to come to us, but it is a little overwhelming at times, and yes I have been very emotional through this one. Ask luke :)
But as the day went on, I was a little more shocked that it is a boy! and BEYOND nervous for another Kolten to be running around and at such a close age to him! BUT...how much fun will they have? TONS! I am SO excited to be adding another little boy, (cuz really who wouldn't want another cutie like kolten??) I just PRAY he is half the size! I don't need 2 HUGE boys to lug around. just kidding :) Britlyn is now ok with the fact that it is another brother, and so excited to just have a BABY in the house again. It would have been fun to have a girl sorta close to her age, cuz now it'll be kinda far if we ever get a girl, but we are loving the fact that we have a HEALTHY baby boy and of course Luke is thrilled :) I can't wait to meet the little guy, and I must say it is weird to picture what another boy will look like. cuz all i picture is kolten's face :) so I am so excited to see him and meet him already! and I must say, we are doomed on a name! we have NO boy names we agree on, and luke comes up with some crazy weird names...So its a good thing we have 5 months to decide, cuz i'm pretty sure it will take us that long!
I love seeing the little baby on the tv and watching it move around. I think it is such a miracle that that is really growing inside me even though I don't feel it a ton all the time yet! I always feel like I can bond alot better with the baby inside me once I know the gender! I may be weird, but its true :) Plus I get to shop for it :) and yes I will be shopping a little cuz we now have the wrong season of boy clothes!! We are so excited to be adding another boy to the family!
