Ok so don't mind that all of these pics are out of place, but I am too lazy to move them all around! :)
So I am obviously very late at making this post, but i figured I ought to get something written about the day! We had such a fun day celebrating Kolten's birthday! Britlyn is such a party girl, its hard not to have fun with her around! We did a Tonka truck theme and it turned out pretty cute I think. We kinda just hung out in the morning and then about lunch time we took the kids to Mc Donalds for lunch and then we went swimming with G & G Duwel and cousin Austin! Then it was party time...We had lots of friends and family come over to celebrate and Jaymie, once again, made the CUTEST cake EVER! I love how her cakes turn out every time! All I tell her is the theme and she comes up with the rest and it is always by far, better than I could have designed! LOVE IT!! So a huge thanks to Jaymie for the cake :) (she has a cake blog you should check it out...sweetbabycakesbyjaym.blogspot.com) She's awesome!
Anyway, we kept it pretty simple with just presents and cake and ice cream. He kinda had the idea of opening presents, but with all the kids around, there was so much help...he was a little too slow for them :) britlyn was so good at helping him open the presents. i think she had one open before i even knew what was going on :) He got LOTS of tonka trucks which he loves ( we had ALL girl toys up until now) a firetruck, sand toys, balls, tractors, and mom and dad got him a cozy coupe car that he loves to climb in and out of! So I think the presents were a hit! Big thanks to all who gave him a present!
Then we did cake and ice cream! Jaymie made him a little cake for him to dig in and he was not shy AT ALL!! See pics :) at first he didn't like it. He dipped his finger in it, licked it, and then blew a raspberry! (Thats what he does when he doesn't like the taste of somethine) But it didn't take him long to realize that I was going to actually LET him destroy this cake. He was hitting it, which resulted in my wall and him being plastered in yummy frosting! It was an absolute mess, but that means it was well worth it and fun! :)
The kids all had fun playing, and I must say, I need a bigger house, or less friends :) It seemed like Christmas morning in our house once the dads opened all the toys and the kids started playing! It was a crazy mad house, but we enjoyed every minute of celebrating this little guys day!!
We love you Bubba and can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays :)
