She's A Big GIrl Now

Well I think its Pretty safe to say that Britlyn is potty trained! She hasn't been in a diaper for like a week! It is so crazy to think that she is only 21 months and potty trained but then again its not, cuz she has kind of been a wonder child! Doing everything WAY ahead of the other kids her age! She loves to think she's a big girl and loves to wear big girl panties! I have even dared to take her out of the house for a few hours in panties! Im still not so trusting so we do pack an extra set just in case but she has done amazing! SHe is waking up from her naps dry but as far as night time goes, she still gets a diaper on. This kid drinks more water than anyone i know so i can't imagine she can hold it all night yet! SHe is waking up alot more dry than usual but still not completely! So other than night time, she is completely out of diapers and WE LOVE IT! (of course she is, we just bought a huge box of diapers at costco and all of a sudden she wanted panties) We feel really lucky too cuz we really didn't do a whole lot on our end to teach her. We've had a potty for a while and she knew what it was and all about it, but we never really enforced it too hard. I would for a couple days but then something would come up so we'd go back to diapers. I would try the whole timer thing, and treats thing, but that back fired cuz she would just sit on it and then think she could get a treat out of it! But after we got back from utah, i just said to her, No more diapers ok...you tell mommy when you need to go potty and you go in your big girl toilet! I made sure she understood NOT to go on mommies floor! And to my surprise, she understood me and she just started telling me she needed to go! She would even just run in there on her own and go and then come tell me! It was amazing! She pretty much did it on her own! Anyway, we are so proud of her and I can't believe my baby is growing up! Now i won't have to buy diapers for a while! but we're extra happy that we wont have 2 kids in diapers! :)
