Last tuesday we went to Vegas for a night and met up with Luke's family! It was a pretty fun little family vacation once we got there! We had planned on being there about 1230 or 100 and we didn't get there till like 4:30! Any body want a car?? Our car kept giving us trouble. Just outside of Kingman in the middle of no where our car started to sputter! It scared Luke so he called his dad and he told us we better go get it checked out so we turned around and drove back to Kingman to see if we could find some place that could tell us what was wrong! We could only drive 50 at the fastest and went 40 most the way so it took us like 45 minutes just to get back to kingman. Then we looked all over the most ghetto part of town cuz luke thought that the big part of kingman was like another half hour away. So he dropped me and Britlyn off at wendy's to sit inside where it was cool while he tried to figure something out! Finally we decided to just drive back even farther than the direction we needed to go and thinking it was like a half hr away it was really only like 5 minutes! I couldn't believe it. We wasted all that time trying to find something in the ghetto when we could have just drove 5 more minutes and not wasted so much time! anyway we finally got someone to tell us what was wrong so then we called luke's dad back and he said that it wouldn't hurt us to drive with it like that. So about 3:00 we headed to vegas! and of course the car was FINE and didn't do anything weird! what a waste of time! gees! but we finally made it to the hotel after 8 hours which should have only been 4 1/2. We sat around for a bit and then we went to the outlets and did a little shopping! Then we went to the Rio and ate at a really good expensive buffet but i loved it...considering we don't eat out much! :) Luke was in heaven too with all the crab legs he could eat! Good thing he ate alot cuz i definately don't eat enought for buffets! im the kind of person they make money off of in buffets! But i think luke ate enough for the both of us so it was ok! :) Britlyn loved walking through the casinos and seeing all the lights! When we took her in the first time she started pointing and saying OOHHH. she loved it. all i could think of was...ya breath that air baby! Luke wanted her to play one of the slot machines! haha....um no! Grose! anyway, we didn't leave there till like 10:00 and then she fell asleep so me and luke went out on the strip and he took me to the Belagio and showed me the flower garden thing they have inside with these really cool water sprinkler shooter things! they were like jumping water shooters! haha i don't know how to explain them. it was really cool but it took soooo long for the bus to pick us up and the ride was long! then when we got done we walked down the strip a little bit and to another bus stop and we watched the water show while we waited at one of the hotels. i can't remember its name! then the bus ride back was so long again!! we only did those two little stops and we didn't get back to our hotel till 1:00! we were so tired! But i was glad that we went. The next morning we went to the airport to pick up KJ from his mission! Everyone was so excited to see him! It was fun! I can't believe he is home already! That 2 years went fast!
